Cookie policy

April 17, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how the ProjectMystic marketing website (projectmystic.app and its subdomains) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Data practices for the mobile app are covered in our Privacy Policy.

The website is built on Next.js and hosted on Vercel infrastructure. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies by default. Only cookies strictly necessary for the website to function are placed without explicit consent.

2. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website. The website uses these files to recognise your device on a return visit and to remember settings such as your language preference.

First-party cookies are placed directly by us. Third-party cookies may be placed by external services we have integrated into the website. In addition to cookies, we may use HTML5 storage mechanisms such as sessionStorage and localStorage, which are not transmitted to servers.

Persistent cookies remain on your device until a defined expiry date, even after you close the browser. Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close the browser.

3. Cookies we use

Essential cookies: These are required for the website to function and are placed without consent. They include locale preference, cookie-consent status, and session authentication tokens. Disabling these cookies will cause parts of the website to stop working correctly.

Functional cookies: These improve the user experience but are not strictly necessary. They remember preferences such as colour theme (dark or light mode) and language selection. We request consent for these cookies; if you decline, you may need to re-apply your preferences on each visit.

Analytics cookies: We do not use analytics cookies by default. If we integrate an analytics tool in the future, we will do so only with your explicit opt-in consent, and you will be able to withdraw that consent at any time from the preference centre.

4. Third-party cookies

Vercel infrastructure: The website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may set technical cookies for load balancing and CDN optimisation. These cookies do not serve advertising or user-profiling purposes.

Payment flow: When a token purchase or subscription transaction is initiated, you are directed to the Apple App Store or Google Play payment interface. During this brief handoff, Apple's or Google's own cookie and tracking mechanisms may activate; these are outside our direct control and are governed by the respective platforms' privacy policies.

We do not integrate any third-party social-media widgets or advertising-network scripts on our website. This Cookie Policy will be updated if a new third-party service is introduced.

5. Control and preferences

Browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and other browsers provide built-in tools for managing cookies. You can reject all cookies or delete specific cookies through your browser settings. Removing essential cookies may cause functional issues on the website.

In-app preferences: Within the mobile app, notification and analytics participation preferences can be managed from the profile settings screen. The app does not rely on cookies; preferences are stored in your Supabase profile record.

Revoking consent: You may withdraw previously given cookie consent at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

6. Changes and contact

Changes to this Cookie Policy will be published on this page and the updated date at the top of the page will be revised. We will provide additional notice for significant changes to how we use cookies.

Questions about our cookie practices can be sent to privacy@projectmystic.app.
